Forewords: This was a random inspiration during one self-study session at school. I guess it reflected some of the conflicts I'm having with myself? Also it's some thoughts on reality and stuffs in the news. Please do give me comments if there's any ♪(^∇^*)

The span of our history sheathed with war,
Most of the writings spoke tales of gore.
The pleading of those at mercy, both weak
and shrill,
Vague and dilated by the grunting from the
urge to kill.
They
never learn,
For
they know only to yearn.
Desire
constantly ached in their heart,
Calling
a new round and a shuffle of cards.
Some pondered on their existence,
While bullets and shells punctured the resistance.
Blindly and unsightly,
Have mercy on humanity.
The
calls of the leading pulled the crowd,
The
howls of the alpha, clear and loud.
‘They
followed for protection.’
‘They
were allured by acceptance.’
Smoke and mirrors,
Words and headers.
Indulged in the fog,
It was the boiling pot’s frog.
Morals
and ethics,
The
craze brought forth by fanatics.
Countless
accuse directed at the person,
Who
laughingly presented his innocence.
The jurist required alibi,
Ah, there wasn't anyone else on the ride.
The public were fazed,
So did the one who brought them to their
graves.
For
the sake of conquest and success,
The
supreme never jests,
Hear the thunder of monstrous tracks,
Was anyone actually taking in all the wounded at
the back?
It was always ‘them’ and ‘they’,
Even when their glory fades.
Nobody look in eye to see themselves reflects.
Everyone prefers to relax.
A
puppet on strings,
Performed
to the public.
Tricking
me? Just by numerous clinks?
Such
a foolish dream.
Money and gold,
The conspiracy unfolds.
Treaties and
contracts,
It was all an
illusion of which they dared not confess.
It was all what I had to see,
Reminding myself constantly not to be of what they
did.
You had sinned and shall remain unforgiven. They
said.
Crooked smile unseen by the eyes caked with blood
of the corpses they laid.
Chains and
shackles bound us all,
The ignorant
locked while the rebellious ignored.
They asked
questions of what angelic of us remains,
How silly, who
can stay alive long enough to still be unmaimed?
You crowned those who displeasures as sinners,
You thought none will find out what you hid that
gleans and glimmers.
When will the will never succumb to sloth and
avarice?
Thoughts flew and wandered as I spat out another
lie.
It took me a
while to see through all this.
So did it take a
while for me to know me.
The latter never
occurred,
I am still
living in a slur.
